SUMMARY

The Visual Media Specialist is a core creative member of the Radius Studio team, dedicated to strengthening the video department through exceptional design, branding, and creative strategy. While primarily remote, this role requires availability to support occasional events or productions on-site.

From developing lower thirds and full-screen graphics to ideating studio set designs and assisting in production environments, this position plays a vital role in ensuring the look, feel, and presentation of every project reflects Radius Studio’s mission to Make What Matters Visible.

The ideal candidate is equal parts designer and storyteller, able to craft compelling visuals, think strategically about audience engagement, and jump into hands-on production when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Video Design & Brand Support

  • Create on-brand motion and static graphics including lower thirds, title cards, full-screen slides, overlays, and animated assets.
  • Collaborate closely with the video team to enhance storytelling and maintain visual continuity across projects.
  • Develop branded templates and design systems that streamline production workflows.
  • Uphold brand guidelines and help evolve the Radius Studio visual identity through fresh design approaches.

Studio & Production Support

  • Ideate and design studio set concepts that align with brand style and storytelling goals.
  • Assist in studio setup and teardown for shoots, ensuring visual consistency and professionalism on set.
  • Support lighting, composition, and visual direction for interviews and b-roll shoots.
  • Occasionally participate in conducting or assisting with on-camera interviews, ensuring subjects are comfortable and the storytelling remains authentic.

Marketing Strategy & Content Creation

  • Collaborate with creative leadership to concept and execute marketing strategies that amplify Radius Studio’s video projects.
  • Design digital assets for web, email, and social campaigns that align with overall storytelling initiatives.
  • Brainstorm innovative ways to present stories and campaigns that engage audiences and elevate brand perception.

Photography & Visual Capture

  • Capture high-quality still photography during field or studio shoots that complements video storytelling.
  • Edit and organize photos for marketing, archives, and internal brand use.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely with the Director of Radius Studio and creative team to prioritize and execute deliverables on schedule.
  • Participate in weekly in-person meetings to align on creative priorities.
  • Be available for occasional event coverage or productions requiring on-site presence.
  • Communicate proactively about project timelines, design needs, and production logistics.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative planning meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or creative media production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and motion design principles.
  • Experience creating graphics and design elements for video and social content.
  • Familiarity with photography and on-set production environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling, motion design, and brand-aligned visual strategy.
  • Experience supporting or leading on-set production, including lighting, camera work, and studio setup.
  • Proficiency in photography and photo editing, with an eye for composition and brand consistency.
  • Proven ability to translate marketing and storytelling goals into engaging visual campaigns.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills in both remote and in-person creative environments.

Work Schedule

Part-Time (20 hours per week), flexible scheduling during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. MT). Some evening or weekend work may be required based on campaign timelines or events.

Location/Travel

Position is remote, based in Colorado, with coworking office space available in the Colorado Springs area. Occasional travel may be required for in-person staff meetings, projects, or client needs.

Compensation Range

$27,500 – $32,500 per year (based on experience and qualifications).
