SUMMARY

The Learning & Support Specialist is a dual-role team member supporting homeschool students through Radius Learning’s virtual Learning Support program while also assisting with customer service and basic IT tasks. This includes virtual supervision, tutoring, and operational support responsibilities, all conducted from Radius Learning's on-site call center. Specialists play a vital role in ensuring students have a safe, helpful, and well-supported online learning experience. This position also includes provision of administrative support for the Radius Learning Branch Campus, including the development of Enrichment Plans and financial administration for campus students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Academic Support & Student Supervision

  • Provide ad hoc academic tutoring in core or enrichment subjects.
  • Engage students in breakout rooms via Zoom and offer constructive encouragement.
  • Monitor student participation and ensure a safe, respectful virtual environment.
  • Enforce digital conduct expectations and redirect off-task behavior.
  • Record attendance and session notes as directed.

Customer & IT Help Desk Support

  • Assist students and families with technical issues related to RadiusLearning.org and Zoom logins.
  • Respond to support tickets regarding course access, scheduling, or helpdesk navigation.
  • Offer basic support for RLBC platforms such as the Parent Portal or Radius systems.
  • Address general onboarding and enrichment program questions as part of the Radius Learning Campus helpdesk rotation.

Branch Campus Support

  • Enroll students into the Radius Learning Branch Campus and provide guidance to families during the school year.
  • Liaise between parents and enrichment service providers to provide financial administration to enrichment providers on behalf of campus students.
  • Coordinate with parents to develop semester enrichment plans in compliance with state and district requirements.
  • Plan and facilitate in-person trips and functions for the Radius Learning Branch Campus; may include in-state travel up to 3 days per semester.

Team Operations & Flex Coverage

  • Rotate between academic and support roles as directed by the Manager.
  • Maintain attentiveness during downtime; personal projects may be worked on quietly when Zoom room activity is low.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds a valid Colorado Teaching License (required).
  • Experience working with K–12 students in educational or mentoring settings.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Zoom, Google Workspace, and common learning or helpdesk platforms.
  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a live support environment.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Work Schedule

Part-Time and Full-Time positions available; scheduled 8-hour shifts with responsibilities in both virtual support and helpdesk systems.

Location/Travel

On-site at Radius Learning Call Center, Colorado Springs, CO. May include in-state travel up to 3 days per semester.

Compensation Range

Hourly Rate: $25.00/hour.
