SUMMARY

The Accountant position supports Radius Operations Group, a growing organization focused on building strong operational and financial systems for long-term sustainability. This role will lead the development and management of financial infrastructure, including accounting systems, reporting processes, and compliance measures.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and strategic professional with expertise in small-to-mid-sized business or nonprofit financial management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial clarity, accountability, and readiness for growth across all areas of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Oversee accounting functions, including payables, receivables, payroll, and expense tracking.
  • Manage monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and the preparation of financial statements.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards that inform organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting tools and systems.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports to support internal decision-making and board review.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, tax filings, and audit requirements.
  • Advise on financial best practices that enhance organizational efficiency and sustainability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing or managing financial systems for a small or growing organization.
  • Proficiency in accounting and spreadsheet softwares.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with Gusto, Bill, and Quickbooks Online.
  • Familiarity with grant management, restricted funds, or multi-entity financial structures.
  • Background in supporting leadership teams through strategic financial analysis.

Core Competencies

Work Schedule

Full-Time (40 hours per week), with availability during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. MT).

Location/Travel

Remote, based in Colorado. Occasional in-person meetings may be required.

Compensation Range

$65,000 - $75,000 based on experience and company budget.
